HENSON <> ALEXANDRIA, AL USA - Saturday, October 13, 2001 at 04:58:09 (EDT) I have just returned from Coppercon and was delighted with what you had done with the 'miniatures' of your paintings. The sad part was that I was unable to get into the art show until it was too late to do any bidding. I hope that you will be sending some work to Loscon (over Thanksgiving weekend) so that maybe I can pick up some more of your work. I do believe that I have some of it. I do admire your ability to do animals. I have dabbled (and I mean dabbbled) in sketching and drawing and I am totally amazed at your use of colors. My boyfriend and I just moved in together (in June 2001) and we're going to have to go through our individual art collections to see who has what but I think we've both bought some of your work and I know we've both bought some Nene (spelling???). A star fell from the sky one night, and it was you, destined to bring a wealth of art, especially the intricate art of the Celts to those of us ever searching for beauty in our crude and crass world. Your images reveal the depth of your appreciation of the mystic and mysterious, from the unfathomed message of an animal's gaze to the poignancy of ancient legends and to the soaring heights of unexplored galaxies, all painted with the honesty of a artist's soul. Congratulations on your art in all its expressive forms and thank you for making it available to us. Sir: I enjoyed your site very much. I have also seen your most recent work depicting Morrigan. I am a student of the Ulster Cycle, and am currently compiling the stories concerning CuChulain. I am searching for an artist to render literarily accurate illustrations of selected events thereof. I really liked this web page... It has some wonderful art work on it...
I ran into samples of your Xena art on Jeri Peterson's XENA FANTASY ART GALLERY and followed the link to this site. The body of work you've assembled is very well done. Excellent use of painting techniques, sir. The latest piece Jeri posted, "Reflections", showed wonderful use of color highlights for Gabrielle's face and hair. The composition is very well planned, and overall it is a worthy addition to the rest of your gallery. Congratulations on a job VERY well done. Give me your hand! (vigorous shaking ensues)
Wow, James - this site is 200% better than your last one!! I was able to see all your B5 artwork and will definitely be visiting again to check out your other works here too!
Thanks again for letting me know about the new URL - I think I will share it with some friends who were admiring my "NOW Delenn, do you SEE ..." print I bought at Rebelcon!
